The book collects nineteen opinions of the authors and Italian authors from different visual disciplines (historical, legal, philosophical, anthropological, environmental ...) have been confronted with the issue of 'commons'. Air, water, land, energy and knowledge are special resources, primary goods on which everything depends and whose use therefore requires special attention. The application of such goods by the logic of the market experienced in fact the most glaring failures. The recognition of the Nobel economist Elinor Ostrom shows that the only neo-liberal thought is also cracking inside the academy. But in politics (especially in Italian), there is still a trace of repentance: the saga of the privatization proceeds, but there is growing opposition from several groups of active citizenship, the committees, associations in the name of a society about respect for nature and more accountable to the whole human community. http://www.ediesseonline.it
